Rodney Burrow

Rodney is a lifelong musician who began playing drums at the age of 9. His early passion for rhythm led to a defining moment when he had the opportunity to perform at Pittsburgh's Civic Arena with the legendary James Brown, an experience that propelled his career forward.


At 18, Rodney went on tour with the band East Coast, gaining invaluable experience on the road and further developing his musical style. Over the years, he has worked with some of the biggest names in gospel music, and serving as an on-call drummer fo artists such as Karen Clark Sheard, Richard Smallwood, and Vickie Winans during their Pittsburgh tours.


Rodney's talent has taken him across the world, performing in Europe and Africa. In 2013, he had the honor of recording at Capitol Records in Los Angeles. After spending more than a decade performing professionally in Atlanta, Rodney returned to Pittsburgh where he currently serves as a drummer at his church.


Despite his extensive experience, Rodney remains a dedicated student of his craft, continuously seeking lessons and opportunities to grow. With over 30 years of experience, Rodney is a musician whose journey is defined by passion, humility, and a commitment to always improving.
