Logan Karwoski
Music Instructor
Logan Karwoski has been playing percussion since the fourth grade and is a 2020 graduate of Avonworth High School where he performed in the concert band, jazz band, percussion ensemble, musical pit orchestra, and marching band. Logan recently graduated from West Virginia University with a Bachelor's of Music in Music Education and has been designated on both the President’s and Dean’s Lists. At WVU, Logan participated in the Symphonic Band, Wind Symphony, Symphony Orchestra, Percussion Ensemble, Fife and Drum Ensemble, and CMA Church of Morgantown’s Worship Ministry Orchestra. As part of his degree program at WVU, Logan recently completed student teaching placements at Rivesville Elementary-Middle school in West Virginia where he taught kindergarten-sixth grade general music as well as middle school choir and at Bethel Park High School in Pennsylvania where he taught high school bands including jazz band, freshman band, concert band, and symphonic band. Other teaching experiences for Logan include private percussion lessons, South Allegheny High School Marching Band drumline instructor, camp assistant for Pittsburgh School of the Arts’ Summer Percussion Camp, and various teaching opportunities within WVU’s Music Education program. Logan has studied percussion with Mr. Bert Lerini and Professor George Willis, drumset with Professor Brian Wolfe, and traditional rudimental drumming with Mr. Mark Reilly. In his free time, Logan enjoys reading books, learning about history, doing genealogy research for his family, and enjoying nature! Logan teaches all levels of percussion and beginner to intermediate piano.
